Summer Fun.

Summer may not officially start for another two weeks or so, but in Texas, summer is in full swing.  While we have four more weeks until we finish school this school year (because of the two months we took off after Anna was born), it's the first day of summer vacation for the public school kids, and it's been getting hot and hotter this month.  I am so thankful for the beautiful, longer than normal spring weather that we had this year, but this hot, swimming, barbeque-ing weather is nice too.  For now anyways; ask me again after a month of it!

Since school only takes a couple of hours during our day anyways, the kids get to play most of the day whether we are finished with our school year or not.  And I can't even count the number of times everyday that the boys ask to go out front to ride their bikes.

Leah was excited when her Daddy put her new pink big wheels trike together and while riding it around the house was fun, riding it down the slope of our driveway like her big brothers were doing was way better.

Especially in a red and black ladybug tutu.

And the summer fruit?  So yummy.  The kids tend to agree.  If they could eat peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, fruit, and yogurt for every meal, they'd be thrilled.  Seriously, we go through two bags of apples a week.  And if I don't supervise, the blueberries and strawberries are gone in one day.  Not that I'm complaining all that much.

Speaking of yummy food, we have finished our unit on Russia today and will be having a scrumptious Russian feast for dinner tonight.  I hope to blog about that and still about our Japanese unit as well.
